john-okeefe f85c9c3f66 refactor(reader): Fix reader-context imports and remove dead code
Problem:
- Many format modules imported from '../core/reader-context'
- reader-context.ts was a local interface file, not a true context module
- Confusion between canonical reader-shell.ts and local reader-context.ts
- PDF page-cache.ts was 100% dead code (unused, unregistered, no exports)
- Several unused variables and imports across reader modules

Root Cause:
- reader-context.ts created as temporary file during refactoring
- Modules imported from it instead of canonical reader-shell.ts
- page-cache.ts copied from comic version but never integrated
- Incomplete refactoring left behind unused code

Solution:
- Update all imports to use reader-shell (canonical source)
- Remove unused page-cache.ts (dead code)
- Clean up unused variables and imports
- Consolidate type definitions

Changes:

Import Path Updates:
- comic/*: '../core/reader-context' → '../../reader-shell'
- manga/*: '../core/reader-context' → '../../reader-shell'
- pdf/*: '../core/reader-context' → '../../reader-shell'
- reflowable/ebook/*: '../core/reader-context' → '../../reader-shell'
- All now import UniversalReader from single source

Dead Code Removal:
- pdf/page-cache.ts: Deleted entirely
  - No init() function exported
  - Not registered in reader-shell.ts
  - All functions unused (createPDFPageCache, getCachedPage, etc.)
  - Only 2 lines of executable code (console.log, DOM cleanup)
  - 148 lines of dead code

Clean Up:
- navigator-panel.ts: Remove unused containerRect variable
- api-explorer-docs.ts, api.ts, queue.ts: Fix unused imports
- unlinked_books.ts: Remove unused variables
- panel-dock-system.ts: Remove unused context variables

Impact:
- All modules use canonical type definitions
- No more duplicate/conflicting interfaces
- Dead code removed (148 lines)
- Cleaner imports, easier maintenance
- TypeScript compiler warnings resolved

john-okeefe 9977bbe66b feat(api): enhance reading progress interfaces and add fetch endpoint
Update reading progress tracking on the frontend:
- Add epubcfi and percentage fields to ReadingProgress interface
- Add last_read_at timestamp for progress display
- Implement getReadingProgress() function to fetch current progress
- Export getReadingProgress for use in reader components

These changes align the frontend API with the new backend progress
schema and enable readers to retrieve saved position data.

john-okeefe 48eaa2d286 fix(alpine): wrap all Alpine.data() callbacks in arrow functions for proper component initialization
- Wrap all Alpine.data() object literals in arrow functions (() => ({}))
- This fixes "n.bind is not a function" errors when Alpine initializes components
- Alpine.data() requires a factory function, not a plain object
- Ensures each component instance gets its own closure and proper this binding

Fixed 24 TypeScript files:
- admin.ts, analytics.ts, api.ts, api-explorer-docs.ts
- bookshelf.ts, collection-rules.ts, collections.ts, conflicts.ts
- device-management.ts, docs.ts, header.ts, index.ts
- library.ts, linking.ts, login.ts, password_validation.ts
- profile-modal.ts, profile.ts, queue.ts, register.ts
- search.ts, theme.ts, toast-error.ts, toast.ts, unlinked_books.ts

Before: Alpine.data("name", { method1, method2 })
After:  Alpine.data("name", () => ({ method1, method2 }))

This is a critical fix for Alpine.js v3+ where components must be
registered as factory functions to ensure proper reactivity and
prevent binding errors during initialization.

john-okeefe 149d14f5eb refactor(ts): Add ES module exports to core utilities
Phase 0/1 of ESBuild migration: Add ES exports to all utility modules
while maintaining Alpine.js registration for template compatibility.

Core utility modules now support both:
- ES module imports for TypeScript→TypeScript dependencies
- Alpine.js global namespace for template onclick handlers

Modules updated:
- api.ts: Export apiGet, apiPost, apiPut, apiDelete, apiPatch, and handlers
- toast.ts: Export showToast function (Alpine namespace already present)
- storage.ts: Export localStorage helpers (already had exports)
- dom.ts: Export DOM manipulation helpers (already had exports)
- events.ts: Export event delegation helpers
- theme.ts: Export theme management functions
- woodPaneling.ts: Export wood paneling functions

Pattern: Each module now has dual exports
- ES module exports for internal TS dependencies
- Alpine.global() registration for template access
- Removed direct window exports where Alpine registration exists

This enables Phase 1 (converting internal window reads to imports) while
maintaining template functionality through Alpine.

Migration progress: Phase 0 complete, Phase 1 in progress
Next: Convert 193+ internal window reads across consumer modules

john-okeefe f39cf3904d fix(frontend): Remove ES6 exports from api.ts
Remove ES6 export statement from api.ts that was causing CommonJS
compilation in browsers, breaking window.api initialization.

Issue: TypeScript compiled 'export { ... }' to CommonJS format
(exports.apiGet = ...), which browsers don't support.

Fix: Remove export statement, rely on existing window.api assignment.
This produces browser-compatible JavaScript.

Before: export { getAuthHeader, apiGet, ... } → CommonJS exports
After: (window as any).api = { ... } → browser global

Resolves: 'Uncaught ReferenceError: exports is not defined'
Resolves: 'Uncaught TypeError: window.api is undefined'
