Create web/src/series.ts with Alpine component implementing the same
switchLibrary pattern as the dashboard:
- Fetch /api/series on library change instead of full page reload
- Fade out/in transition with loading spinner
- Re-render series grid and pagination from JSON response
- Save selected library to localStorage
Import series.ts in main.ts.
Add stacked-cascade CSS to input.css for multi-cover series cards:
- Covers cascade from top-left to bottom-right with increasing z-index
- Front cover sits at bottom-right (highest z-index)
- Separate layout rules for 1-7 covers with rotation offsets
- Hover lift effect on series cards
Replace the original 5-theme allowlist (light, sepia, dark, night,
high-contrast) with a richer 20-theme palette organized into tonal
families: neutrals (light, paper, slate, oled), warm tones (sepia,
parchment, warm, candlelight), cool tones (azure, sky, arctic, frost),
and evening tones (dusk, sunset, twilight, forest, moss, solarized).
The backend validator in UpdateSettings now accepts all 20 theme names,
and the frontend Tailwind build is updated to include the new theme CSS
variables and preflight reset.
- Position foliate-view with absolute inset-x-0 top-[52px] bottom-[52px]
so book content renders between the fixed header and footer bars instead
of behind them
- Confirmed removal of foliate-themes.css base typography was correct:
body color now comes from chrome theme's --text-primary (light for
dark chrome themes like tokyo-night)
Two fixes:
1. Remove base typography block from foliate-themes.css. The html/body
rules were unlayered CSS that overrode the chrome theme's layered
body styles, causing dark reading theme text colors (--reader-text)
to apply to the outer chrome UI on dark backgrounds. These styles
are only meant for the shadow DOM, which getCSS() already handles.
2. Move missing typography rules (img, blockquote, a, p orphans/widows)
into getCSS() so the shadow DOM still gets them.
3. Add sun/moon emoji indicators to the light/dark toggle switch.
Add explicit light/dark mode toggle switch to the reading theme settings.
The reading mode defaults based on the chrome theme (dark chrome themes
like tokyo-night default to dark reading mode).

- Add detectChromeDarkMode() to infer default from chrome theme

Delete old versions of features that are now in /reader/features/:
- offline-manager.ts (moved to features/)
- reading-speed-tracker.ts (moved to features/)
- panel-dock-system.ts (replaced by converted version in features/)
- navigator-panel.ts (replaced by converted version in features/)
All imports now use the /reader/features/ directory. This eliminates
duplication and makes it clear which files are the active ones.
CSS changes for bookshelf page:
Tristate button styles (input.css):
- Add .tristate-btn base class with transition effects
- Three state-specific classes with dynamic colors:
- .state-null (Any): Neutral style with --text-secondary
- .state-true (Has Cover): Green success style using color-mix()
- .state-false (No Cover): Red/warning style using color-mix()
- Theme-aware coloring using CSS variables:
- Background: var(--bg-primary) with color overlays
- Border: var(--border) base color
- Text: var(--text-primary) for readability
- Hover and active states for better UX
- Flex layout for proper icon/text alignment
- Support for light and dark themes automatically
Style.css update:
- Minor adjustment for compatibility
The tristate button provides clear visual feedback for the has_cover
filter state with automatic theme adaptation.
- Add fetchFieldValues helper function for API calls
- Add fetchAuthorValues for author autocomplete
- Add fetchGenreValues for genre autocomplete
- Add fetchSeriesValues for series autocomplete
- Add fetchLanguageValues for language autocomplete
- Functions use native DOM manipulation to populate datalist elements

- Updated admin_sidebar.templ with Settings link
- Fixed devices.templ with correct regenerate-token path
- Compiled TailwindCSS with any style changes

- highlight.min.js: Updated to latest version (syntax highlighting)
- highlight-dark.min.css: Dark theme for syntax highlighting
- htmx.min.js: Updated to latest version (HTMX library for AJAX)
- lunr.min.js: Updated to latest version (full-text search)
- input.css: Updated Tailwind CSS input styles
- style.css: Updated main application styles
These are third-party library updates that provide improved
functionality and bug fixes for the frontend.
- Fix View All link flashing by preserving data-wood attribute when dashboard re-renders
- Update wood-dark text color to match wood-mahogany (#f5f5f5) for better consistency
- Add smart link colors for wood paneling (#0066cc for light wood, #66ccff for dark woods)
- Fix carousel arrow gradients to be less harsh on wood backgrounds (0.6 for light, 0.3 for dark)
- Remove accent color preservation rule that was conflicting with wood-specific link colors
- Add data-wood attribute to collections container for CSS targeting
- Update woodPaneling.ts and woodPanelingInit.ts to set/remove attribute
- Add CSS variables for wood-specific text colors (dark text on light wood, light text on dark wood)
- Add !important rules to override theme colors when wood is active
- Replace wood-dark and wood-mahogany textures with darker variants

The prose classes now properly style markdown HTML elements with:
- Proper margins and spacing for headings, paragraphs, lists
- Line-height and typography improvements
- Styled code blocks, blockquotes, tables, and links
