John O'Keefe 77cd268f4e style: format web/src with oxfmt defaults (via vp fmt)
One-time mechanical sweep, isolated from any functional change.
- oxfmt defaults: double quotes, semicolons, 2-space indent, LF,
  printWidth 100, trailing commas, bracket spacing, arrow parens.
- vite.config.ts gains an fmt.ignorePatterns block for web/static:
  vendored/minified assets (htmx.min.js, compiled css) must never
  be reformatted.
- Verified: rebuild after the sweep produces byte-identical JS/CSS
  bundles; only sourcemaps changed (they embed sourcesContent).

John O'Keefe 506a04b55d chore(web): library-admin inline script moves to admin.ts; rendering guardrail
The library admin page carried an inline <script> block of global
functions (toggleLibraryPanel, openEditModal, openDeleteModal,
openFolderBrowser plus the delete-modal close listener). They move into
the admin Alpine component as typed methods; the page body gains
x-data="admin" and the call sites switch onclick= -> @click.
Behavior unchanged.

Guardrail: make lint-rendering (wired into make test) fails when a
web/src file builds more HTML template literals than its recorded
baseline (web/src/rendering-allowlist.txt, seeded at 18 sites across 9
files post-twin-deletion) or when a .templ file gains an inline script
block. theme_flash_guard.templ is the only sanctioned inline script;
web/src/reader is a sanctioned island.

theme.ts: Array.from(classList) — DOMTokenList spread needs
lib.dom.iterable, which the tsconfig does not include.

John O'Keefe d5bb874651 feat(themes): Omarchy catalog, 12 light themes, Dark/Light Appearance picker
Expand the catalog from 11 themes (10 dark, 1 light) to 37 (24/13):
all 18 remaining Omarchy defaults (palettes from each theme's
colors.toml) plus 8 canonical light themes (Tokyo Night Day, Solarized
Light, One Light, Ayu Light, GitHub Light, Gruvbox Light, Everforest
Light, Kanagawa Lotus). Lupine leads the light list as the default
light theme; the app default stays tokyo-night.

Appearance panel: Dark/Light segmented filter (SSR-initialized from the
user's current theme), scrollable theme list, Bookshelf section pinned;
active row revealed on open. Light themes carry color-scheme: light and
the soft-shadow token set. Public-page theme selects get Dark/Light
optgroups. New moon/sun icons.

tailwind.config: safelist the new theme ids — Tailwind v3 purges custom
@layer base class selectors that appear in no scanned content file, so
an unsafelisted id silently ships without its CSS (found the hard way).

theme.ts: applyTheme now swaps only theme-* classes (changing theme
from the login select no longer wipes min-h-screen) and keeps the class
in sync on <html> for the new ThemeFlashGuard — a pre-paint inline
script on the four public pages that applies the saved theme before
first paint.

Kanagawa's UI accent uses crystalBlue (#7e9cd8) instead of Omarchy's
foreground-as-accent so links stay distinguishable from text.

john-okeefe 8d65e03555 fix(ui): move theme checkmark when theme changes in Appearance menu
The checkmark in the Appearance theme menu was rendered server-side
(if user.Theme == opt.Name), so it never moved after switching themes
in the browser.

- Always render the check for every theme option, hidden by default,
  using a new themeCheckClass(name, current) helper that returns the
  hidden class unless the option is the active theme.
- Give each theme button a data-theme attribute and add
  updateThemeIndicators() to web/src/theme.ts, which reads the applied
  theme from the body class (theme-<name>) and toggles the hidden class
  on each check accordingly.
- Call updateThemeIndicators() from changeTheme (before the async save
  and on failure), initializeTheme, and loadUserTheme so the menu stays
  in sync with the applied theme.
- Add unit test for themeCheckClass (templates/utils_test.go) and
  regenerate templ output.

john-okeefe 2075077bb7 refactor: remove unnecessary DOMContentLoaded wrappers
Since main.js has 'defer' attribute, the DOM is guaranteed to be
ready when modules execute. These wrappers are unnecessary.

dashboard.ts:
- Removed DOMContentLoaded wrapper, code runs directly
- Event delegation setup runs immediately

custom-section-builder.ts:
- Removed DOMContentLoaded wrapper
- initCustomSectionBuilder() called directly

toast.ts:
- Removed DOMContentLoaded wrapper
- initializeToastSystem() called directly at top level
- Removed dead Alpine.data registration (unused)

search.ts:
- Removed DOMContentLoaded wrapper
- initializeSearch exported for use in header

theme.ts:
- Removed DOMContentLoaded wrapper
- Functions now exported for use in header Alpine component

john-okeefe 48eaa2d286 fix(alpine): wrap all Alpine.data() callbacks in arrow functions for proper component initialization
- Wrap all Alpine.data() object literals in arrow functions (() => ({}))
- This fixes "n.bind is not a function" errors when Alpine initializes components
- Alpine.data() requires a factory function, not a plain object
- Ensures each component instance gets its own closure and proper this binding

Fixed 24 TypeScript files:
- admin.ts, analytics.ts, api.ts, api-explorer-docs.ts
- bookshelf.ts, collection-rules.ts, collections.ts, conflicts.ts
- device-management.ts, docs.ts, header.ts, index.ts
- library.ts, linking.ts, login.ts, password_validation.ts
- profile-modal.ts, profile.ts, queue.ts, register.ts
- search.ts, theme.ts, toast-error.ts, toast.ts, unlinked_books.ts

Before: Alpine.data("name", { method1, method2 })
After:  Alpine.data("name", () => ({ method1, method2 }))

This is a critical fix for Alpine.js v3+ where components must be
registered as factory functions to ensure proper reactivity and
prevent binding errors during initialization.

john-okeefe 149d14f5eb refactor(ts): Add ES module exports to core utilities
Phase 0/1 of ESBuild migration: Add ES exports to all utility modules
while maintaining Alpine.js registration for template compatibility.

Core utility modules now support both:
- ES module imports for TypeScript→TypeScript dependencies
- Alpine.js global namespace for template onclick handlers

Modules updated:
- api.ts: Export apiGet, apiPost, apiPut, apiDelete, apiPatch, and handlers
- toast.ts: Export showToast function (Alpine namespace already present)
- storage.ts: Export localStorage helpers (already had exports)
- dom.ts: Export DOM manipulation helpers (already had exports)
- events.ts: Export event delegation helpers
- theme.ts: Export theme management functions
- woodPaneling.ts: Export wood paneling functions

Pattern: Each module now has dual exports
- ES module exports for internal TS dependencies
- Alpine.global() registration for template access
- Removed direct window exports where Alpine registration exists

This enables Phase 1 (converting internal window reads to imports) while
maintaining template functionality through Alpine.

Migration progress: Phase 0 complete, Phase 1 in progress
Next: Convert 193+ internal window reads across consumer modules
